Beth graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington with a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance, with an Emphasis in Piano Pedagogy. In addition, she has privately studied organ, harpsichord, jazz improvisation, song writing, synthesis and voice.
She has taught piano lessons for many years to children and adults, and has the proven ability to develop talent, as well as long term relationships with her students and their families. Beth is experienced in solo performance and accompanying, and has spent several years involved in church worship. She is a current member of MTNA and SSMTA.
As a piano instructor she provides thorough training in the rudiments of piano study which includes theory, technique, keyboard harmony, ear training and sight reading. She also provides a broad musical experience by teaching a variety of styles such as classical, jazz, worship and popular music. Beth strives to cultivate in each student a sense of passion, musicianship, and personal accomplishment.
